Dancing moss sculpture is a handmade ceramic object made by artist Ana Botezatu. Ana Botezatu works at the intersection between ceramics, drawing, book illustration, set design, puppet theatre and ethnographic research. She studied ceramics at the Art and Design University Cluj-Napoca, and currently lives and works in Berlin.
Ana Botezatu’s ceramic sculptures are situated at the intersection of utilitarian object and art object, without being able to be pinned down to one of these categories. The figures appear in a swarm. Arranged on modular shelf constructions, they subvert the narrative of the singular artwork – through an infinite number of potential stories emanating from the humorous poses. This sculpture is unique.
