ABOUT ANA BOTEZATU’S CERAMIC SCULPTURE
Ana Botezatu’s ceramic sculptures are situated at the intersection of utilitarian object and art object, without being able to be pinned down to one of these categories. The figures appear in a swarm. Arranged on modular shelf constructions, they subvert the narrative of the singular artwork – through an infinite number of potential stories emanating from the humorous poses. A Pile of Anxieties (2020-22) thus spans an invisible networks of imaginary relationships whose small parts defy any fixed meaning. (Gossip exhibition, M.1 Arthur Boskamp-Stiftung 2022)

Inspired by Cosmin Florea’s love for pristine nature, this large sculptural vase channels the organic shape of a stork. A graceful design metaphor handcrafted in white stoneware, the Ciconia vase can be used to cherish at home the beauty of plants in two distinct ways: as a decorative piece on its own or as a support of ever-changing floral arrangements. Glazed only inside to make it watertight, the exterior remains natural, complimenting the light texture.

The cup is part of the SIMPLICITY collection which is a tribute to white porcelain and simple shapes and talks about the discipline of gesture and thought. On cloudy mornings, the cleanliness of white porcelain, untouched by colors or decorative elements, helps in clearing your thoughts.
ABOUT THE ARC DE TRIUMPHE SCULPTURE by PETER JECZA, COURTESY OF JECZA GALLERY
Peter Jecza’s works express the transcension of mimesis, through trans-figuration, figuration of the balance between mineral horizontality and ascending verticality of the spirit – even sacred impetus –, the relation between the language of sculpture with other forms of language, its „musical” dimension, in the sense of a temporal occurrence, its closeness to poetry. Cariatide was conceived as being a functional sculpture, inspired by Constantin Brancusi’s works with the same title, Jecza’s Cariatide, female silhouettes, suport the glass surface. Peter Jecza always said that „bestowing material form to immateriality” is his main goal in art.
This fun yet classic pouf is indeed a celebration of the Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncusi’s contribution to modernism, referencing one of his most celebrated work, Infinite Column. High-grade plain weaves of wool, mohair and long-haired alpaca created in northern France are selected after much consideration for not only its fine quality but also to echo Brâncusi’s lifelong career in France.

ABOUT THE FRUCTUS PATERA FRUIT BOWL by PROJECT PARA
As a symbol of abundance and fertility, the fruits bowls were used thousands of years ago by wealthy Greeks and Romans. Fructus Patera comes to revive the ritual of magnifying the fruits. Fructus Patera is designed and 3D printed with love in Bucharest, using recycled plastic filaments sourced from the EU.
ABOUT THE TRIGONA LAMP by CONSTANTIN FLONDOR, 2022 COURTESY JECZA GALLERY
This work is a smaller version of Constantin Flondor’s Trigona made in 1974, now part of a few important collections like the MUMOK Collection in Vienna. Constantin Flondor explains: “I started with the triangular prismatic bars. The articulation functions determined the form. This determinism was stimulating me. Like some natural phenomena (the combinations of soap membranes, the manner in which bees construct a honeycomb, the formation of clouds, the structure of snowflakes…), my problem was coherently leading me towards one-truth solutions. I needed a creative intelligence which would obey this truth. (…)Initially, the results of this research bore the name of triangular prism knot, triangular prism combinations or spatial ensemble of triangular bars. Due to the analogy of the diamond-shaped sides of the diamond-shaped dodecahedron with the cells of the honeycomb, I ended up using the name „trigona”. It is an encounter between the name in geometry and crystallography and that in the world of various species of bees: Minima Trigona.”
