ABOUT ELLA COSTACHE:
Ella Costache is an Eastern European female artist from Bucharest currently studying a Masters in Fashion Photography at UAL. Her practice spans themes centered around larger notions of identity such as womanhood, cultural backgrounds and bodily depictions, tracing the way these translate into tangible visual outlets. At the intersecton of fashion and visual culture, Ella’s photographic work employs a number of recurring devices and visual preferences: pattern repetition, color scheming, rawness and materiality. She tends to think of her work as more explorative rather than conclusive. Her latest project for with Epretext sets out as a visual essay underpined by the desire to document hair and its ambivalent nature — both as a literal mass of textures and natural bodily extension. Hair features predominantly in her work, a theme which she carefully exploses as a site for intricacy and metaphor: tangled or not. This series of pictures hopes to unfold as a series of insights and intimacies and draws inspiration from traditional and modern simplicity altogether — like hair itself, literally weaving through different dimensions of womanhood.

ABOUT MICHELLE DE ROSE:
Michelle de Rose (Coman Mihaela real name) is a fine-art, potrait and fashion photographer from Romania, her work being published in many magazines ( Nasty Magazine, Flanelle, Virtuogenix, Kunst, Design Scene, A Part Publications, Blanc and more), exhibitions( INstantes festival at Art Museum Constanta Romania; ImageNationParis; iNstantes festival Portugal 2019; SUBLIMATIONS Milano 2019; SUBLIMATIONS Arles 2019; Photovogue Festival; International Portrait/Fashion exhibition 2020 Florida) and awards( HONORABLE mention at ipa 2017; GOLD winner at TIFA 2019; Gold winner MIFA 2020; Sony Photography Awards, National
Award, Winner, 2020).
Interested in the beauty of each one’s gaze and in the multitude of each person’s experiences she’s also exploring through photography sensations that blend with one another like hidden anger with isolation, the coldness of the soul and the secrets it hides, emptiness with melancholy, the numbness of the body, salty tears on lips, cold wind on the skin, revealing that all of them are normal states clothed in the desire to reach transient perfection.

Christian looks for personalities in stereotypes and clichés, seeing fashion as a means of replacing identity with more real individual versions expressing inner desires. Christian Tudose exhibited his work BODY POLITICS at DIPLOMA 2018. Christian Tudose completed his photography studies in 2017 at the National University of Art in Bucharest at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Photo-Video section.

ABOUT ANDREI VINTILĂ:
Andrei Vintilă’s backround is in engineering and industrial design. After working 4 years in the automotive engineering field, Andrei made a switch to a more alluring and creative industry. This gave him the opportunity to take works of photography, web design, graphic design, content creating and directing campaigns for different niche businesses. From Andrei’s early years he was interested in visual arts and it got stuck with him until present days. Being a photographer, he likes to observe and capture moments in a clean aesthetic. Black and white photography is his favorite, but he doesn’t say no the color. He loves skin, product design, and typography. Details are very important in his work, but he’s not afraid of taking some steps back for a wider view. Layers are an important factor in Andrei’s work and his day to day life. He often visualise his everyday tasks and projects as logical layers that have to be done in a specific order to achieve the desired result. Shadows and the presence of hard light that creates high contrasts in scenes, something that he likes to use for some more dramatic results.

ABOUT TIM DUGAN:
Robert Antoniac, or Tim Dugan in the social media area, graduated from the Department of Photography and Dynamic Imaging at the National University of Arts in Bucharest. Being largely interested in the intersection of photography and fashion, his images are positioned on the border between experimental and advertising. Glamour Romania, Men’s Health Romania, IL PASSO or Loot Forever are just some of the brands for which his projects have been commissioned in the editorial and fashion fields. His work has been exhibited at Mobius Gallery, Switch Lab and BRD Scena9 Residency among others.
